Submission Guidelines

Participants who are interested to present free papers or posters are invited to submit an abstract of their paper. It could be in areas of nutrition science, food service, community nutrition, clinical, quality improvement, education and other nutrition and dietetic-related areas.

General Guidelines

  • Abstract should be submitted as either Research or Case-study or Dietitians Entrepreneur eShowcase.
  • Research Abstract should comprise of Objective, Methodology, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • Case study Abstract should be written in the Nutrition Care Process format including Nutrition Assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, Nutrition Intervention and Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Dietitians Entrepreneur eShowcase Abstract should provide an executive summary of the invention in which it may describe what the invention is about, the problem you sought to address, the level of innovation involved, as well as the invention's significance to improving nutrition care.
  • Abstract must not be more than 300 words [excluding the title, author(s) name and affiliation].
  • Graphs, tables and illustrations cannot be included in the abstract.
  • Abstract is to be submitted in English language only.

The accuracy of the submitted abstract is the responsibility of the authors. Every effort will be made to publish the abstract exactly as submitted. Authors should prepare and proofread their abstracts carefully prior to submission. Errors made on your submitted abstract are likely to appear in print or online.

All presenters must register to attend this MDA conference. If an abstract is accepted and the presenter does not register, the abstract may be withdrawn.

 

 


Presentation Guideline

ePoster Presentation Guideline:

  • Format: PDF and MP4
  • ePoster
    • Layout: Portrait or Landscape
    • For Portrait: A4 size, 2480 pixels width x 3508 pixels height
    • For Landscape: PowerPoint, Ratio: 16:9
    • Posters should be designed, such that titles, legends, graphs and illustrations can be easily read
    • Kindly produce and affix a recent headshot (passport sized) of the Author/s at the top right-hand corner of the poster
  • Short Video
    • A maximum 3 minutes video to present your ePoster
  • Please note in order to present your abstract, kindly register and fully paid before 1st June 2023

 

Oral Presentation Guideline:

  • Oral presentation slot – 10 minutes (include Q & A)
  • The presentation must be presented in the English language
  • You are advised to adhere strictly to the time allocated to avoid upsetting the scientific programme
  • Please note in order to present your abstract, kindly register and fully paid before 1st June 2023

 

Dietitians Entrepreneur eShowcase Guideline:

  • A maximum 5 minutes video to present your project/item/service
  • There is no restriction in how the you showcase your project/item/service so long it is being described in the abstract
  • Please note that in order to present, kindly register and fully paid before 1st June 2023
